Brazilian technology company joins EDEX 2025 and presents military drone
São Carlos, Brazil — November 2025. Xmobots, the largest drone company in Latin America and the sixth largest in the world, will participate in the 4th edition of the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX), taking place from December 1–4 in Cairo, Egypt. During the event, the company will present its newest military drone, the Nauru 100D ISTAR, to the international audience.
Participation in a leading global defense event
Held biennially, EDEX showcases the latest technologies and solutions in the defense and security industries, bringing together military personnel, government authorities, industry specialists and international delegations. The event is hosted at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre.
Xmobots will be located at booth H2-A91, as part of the Brazilian delegation in an area organized by the Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Materials Industries (Abimde). The company will be represented by André Palocci, Director of Investor Relations and Mergers & Acquisitions.
“This year, we took an important step towards the internationalization of our brand. With Xmobots Defense and the Nauru 100D ISTAR, we are confident in the advancement of our business. Now, presenting our solutions and our experience in the Defense and Security sector on an international stage further demonstrates our potential”, mentions Palocci.
Xmobots Defense: positioning Brazil as a new global player
With nearly two decades dedicated to robotic systems development, especially drones, Xmobots is strengthening its global presence through the establishment of Xmobots Defense, a structure fully dedicated to the military segment.
The new division integrates specialized teams and production processes aligned with defense-industry quality standards, expanding the company’s capacity to meet both national and international demands.
Nauru 100D ISTAR: The Invisible Ally
The Nauru 100D enters the market as a solution for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance missions, standing out for its stealth-oriented design and vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) capability.

Its feature set includes:
-
Full assembly in under three minutes for rapid deployment;
-
Two-hour autonomy per battery (with a kit containing three batteries);
-
Operational range of up to 30 km;
-
Onboard AI for license plate reading, vehicle and person tracking, and facial recognition;
-
High portability, with two exclusive cases: one for the drone and one for the battery charging station.
Concept versions: UCAV and Swarm
The Nauru 100D ISTAR also has two conceptual versions under study: a UCAV (Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle) and a Swarm configuration.
The UCAV concept envisions a combat drone capable of operating at high altitudes, evading radar and performing precision strikes.
The proposal includes releases from 60 meters, real-time trajectory correction and return-to-base capability for potential re-engagements. Payloads under study include high-explosive (HE) bombs and anti-tank penetrating (HEAT) munitions.
The Swarm concept explores the simultaneous launch of up to 30 aircraft from a 20 ft container — three dedicated to reconnaissance and 27 to coordinated attack.
With a projected range between 120 km and 340 km, the concept introduces a new dynamic to the operational environment, focusing on target saturation and large-scale tactical response.
Robust portfolio for Defense Forces
In addition to the new Nauru 100D ISTAR, Xmobots Defense offers other systems for the military sector, including the Nauru 1000C ISTAR and the Nauru 500C ISR, already deployed by the Brazilian Army and the Brazilian Navy, respectively.
Xmobots’ presence at EDEX 2025 reinforces the company’s role as a representative of Brazil’s defense technology, expanding its international reach and strengthening its position among leading global industry players.
