CBA is a compact, air-deployable 4×4 dump truck for airborne engineer units and rapid-entry forces. It can be air-transported, heliborne under slings, or airdropped. Road-legal, it also fits 20-ft container transport and deploys by road, rail or sea.

Its principal strengths are:

• Permanent 4×4 with MaxTrac self-locking axle differential

• Two steering modes: 2-wheel or 4-wheel steering for tight maneuvering

• Hydrostatic CVT ranges: 0–7 km/h (work) and 0–25 km/h (transfer)

• Swivel dump body ±90° with hydraulic rear and side tipping

• Payload 5 t; body capacity 2.7 m³ heaped / 1.65 m³ struck

CBA is built around a compact chassis with a hydrostatic driveline. A Caterpillar C4.4 Stage IIIA 100 hp diesel—compatible with F-54, F-63 and jet fuel—drives a REXROTH automotive advance pump (71 cc) and a REXROTH A6VM 152 cc motor. Steering is hydraulically assisted with selectable 2WS/4WS. The dump body is reinforced and swivels ±90° to tip to the rear or either side. A REXROTH A10VO 45 cc load-sensing equipment pump delivers up to 100 L/min at 250 bar to a rear auxiliary hydraulic outlet. The cab is ergonomic and designed for a fully equipped operator; the folding roll-over frame reduces height to 1.90 m for projection.

Its main missions are:

• Move and distribute bulk materials to open and repair airstrips, aprons and taxiways

• Side-cast for runway shoulders/drainage using the ±90° swivel dump body

• Create/maintain access routes; clear debris and prepare DZ/LZ staging areas

• Backfill and earthworks for berms, trenches and revetments

• Support airdrop recovery corridors by rapid material supply and removal

• Tow trailers via rotating pintle hitch for light logistics on DZ/LZ
