The TCA is a compact, air-deployable 4×4 loader for airborne engineer units and rapid entry forces. It can be air-transported, heliborne under slings, or airdropped on LTCO12 platforms (8-ton load). Road-legal, it fits 20-ft container transport and terrestrial/rail/maritime vectors.

Its principal strengths are:

• Permanent 4×4 with self-locking MaxTrac axle differential
• Two steering modes (2WS / 4WS) for tight maneuvering in confined DZ/LZ areas
• Continuous and smooth speed variation: 0–7 km/h (work) and 0–25 km/h (transfer)
• High-flow hydraulics (100 L/min at 250 bar) to drive demanding tools
• Multifunction arm with ISO quick coupler for fast tool changes
• Autonomy for a full shift: 120 L tank, ~8 hours in work
• Wide operating temperature range: −20 °C to +50 °C
• Low silhouette with folding roll-over frame (1.90 m) for transport constraints
• Ground clearance of 34 cm for rough terrain approaches

TCA is built around a compact chassis with hydrostatic driveline. A Caterpillar C4.4 Stage IIIA 100 hp diesel—compatible with F-54, F-63 and jet fuel—drives a Rexroth automotive advance pump (71 cc) and an A6VM 152 cc motor. Steering is hydraulically assisted with selectable 2/4-wheel steering. The parallel-kinematics loader arm includes automatic bucket return-to-angle. A load-sensing equipment pump (Rexroth A10VO 45 cc) delivers up to 100 L/min at 250 bar to auxiliary outlets located both at the boom tip (tools) and at the rear (towed equipment). The operator station is ergonomic and usable with full individual kit.

Its main missions are:

• Prepare and restore airstrips, aprons and taxiways in early entry
• Open access routes and clear snow, rocks, vegetation and debris
• Create corridors to recover airdropped loads
• Perform field protection works (trenches, berms, weapon pits)
• Handle pallets and loads with forks (1.8 t) and a 2-t lifting hook
• Load/unload tipper trucks with 800 L buckets (4-in-1 or smooth, 2.20 m wide)
• Sweep runways and staging areas with a 2.20 m rotary broom
• Tow military trailers using the rotating pintle hitch
• Provide light logistic support on DZ/LZ during airfield seizure and stabilization
