The exercise, carried out in Egypt's Southern Military District, is part of a series of drills between the two countries' armed forces meant to bolster cooperation and raise their combat capabilities and readiness to face regional challenges.

Aqaba 7 runs through 9 November with the participation of the Egyptian and Jordanian maritime, ground, and special forces.
