Welcome reception held for key exhibitors and sponsors of EDEX, alongside government officials

The event hosted its main exhibitors in the field of armament systems, defense and military industries locally and internationally, including key players from the Egyptian defense and security industry. A number of high-level government officials also attended the ceremony, including Egyptian Armament Authority Director, Major General Osama Ezzat, and representatives from the British Embassy, Embassy of United States of America and Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium.
During the event the EDEX team presented the key achievements of the Expo’s first edition held in 2018 and the latest updates and developments of this year’s edition, which will be held at Egypt International Exhibition Center under the auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. This year promises a strong participation from top industry players, surpassing the size and scale of the previous edition by all standards, with delegations from 90 countries invited to attend.
Managing Director, Clarion Defence & Security MEA, Thomas Gaunt stated, “We are delighted to host the exhibitors and sponsors of EDEX 2021, and we anticipate the participation of more pioneers in the industry. We look forward to sustaining the relationships as we move towards hosting another world-class defense and security exhibition along with the Egyptian Minister of Defense and Military Production.” Gaunt added that due to the limited spaces, Clarion encourages the exhibitors to reserve their spot in one of the remaining locations. “90% of the total exhibition space has been booked, reflecting the strong demand we have received from major institutions working in the defense industry worldwide to showcase the latest in defense and military technologies.”
